Engine Servicing and Repairs

The engine is the heart and soul of your vehicle and is a most intricate system. An engine should be inspected regularly for worn out or damaged parts. The major causes of engine problems are worn out or clogged automotive parts, generally due to lack of maintenance. Worn out parts may cause overheating of the engine, engine surging and other problems such as lack of engine compression and lack of spark. Even a bad fuel mixture can clog engine intake valves. A lack of servicing of your engine oil and filter will hamper the flow of engine oil that will cause oil sludge which in many cases can result in destroying your engine.

Free 80 Point Safety Check

Every time your vehicle is brought in for a service or repair, we carry out a free 80 point vehicle safety check and report to you accordingly any immediate work that may be required in addition to the service/s you have requested. We then report to you if there are any problems and they are only acted upon with your approval once we have given you a quotation for extra work required. We are able to take photos and email you any problem area that needs clarification. Alternatively, you may wish to see the problem by way of coming into the workshop to view your car on the hoist and discuss any matter with our mechanics.

Transmission Drive/Train

One of the best ways to prolong the life of your Transmission and Drivetrain, as with all integral systems of your vehicle, is through regular maintenance.
If there is a problem with your transmission, computer diagnoses equipment often will be required to extract fault codes that may exist in one of several areas. Sometimes thing don’t seem as bad as you think. If diagnosed and located early, there are many occasions that the problem is minor such as one of the sensors, an electrical connection, or system ground, so it doesn’t necessarily mean that your transmission may need replacing.

Brakes

Brakes are a critical safety system of a vehicle. The brake system should be checked at every service by a qualified mechanic.

Auto Electrical

The electrical system in your car is one of the most important aspects of it operating correctly. Today’s auto electrical systems are getting more intricate and are stretching the limits of current technology. The major components critical to the operation of your car’s electrical system are the Battery, Alternator and Starter Motor.
At Scuderia Servizio European, we have an in-house auto electrician and the necessary tools and diagnostic equipment to assist our technicians to diagnose and repair your vehicle’s electrical system.

We can supply and install all these components below, and associated parts as well as being able to offer remanufactured or reconditioned units on highlighted components such as Starter Motors, Alternators and Engine Computer Units, and offer great cost savings to you as we repair and recondition these components all in-house.

Climate Control

Modern automatic climate control systems have become quite sophisticated and to understand these systems requires specialised training and tools. If a cooling problem isn’t in the refrigeration system such as a bad A/C compressor, blocked orifice tube, low refrigerant, hose leak etc.), it is in the automatic temperature control system , also known as climate control , which may require the use of a diagnostic scan tool, and/or diagnostic kits with specialised tools to locate the cause. More complicated systems have self-diagnostic capabilities and can generate fault codes that indicate to a technician the actual nature of the problem. Once the problem has been diagnosed, the defective component can be repaired or replaced from a long list of possibilities as detailed below.

Fuel System

Over time, dirt and carbon deposits form in your vehicle’s fuel system, on the intake valves and in the combustion areas. These build-ups have an effect on your vehicles’ performance.
Some of the symptoms related to carbon build-up are engine pinging, hesitation, poor acceleration and lack of power, repeated stalling when cold, rough idling, and poor fuel economy. These build-ups, if left untreated, may lead to costly engine repairs.
Our technicians are trained to accurately diagnose and repair fuel system problems.

Pre Purchase Inspections

At Scuderia Servizio European we conduct a comprehensive 175 point motor vehicle condition report covering all areas of the vehicle to assess the condition of the motor vehicle. This will give you all the information you need to decide as follows ;

  • Whether to keep your car if it has been problematic
  • If you are purchasing a used car
  • Is your vehicle safe before a long trip
  • To have a Vehicle safety inspection report available if you are selling your car

We have many proud owners of their vehicles who wish to have a pre-purchase inspection carried out to give prospective buyers full peace of mind. We also provide these pre-purchase inspections to some dealerships.
You will receive a fully itemised condition report performed by qualified technicians.

Steering and Suspension

Shock absorbers help to control the movement of your vehicle’s springs and suspension and play a pivotal role in your vehicle’s ability to accelerate, travel and brake with safety and control by keeping your tyres in contact with the road at all times and make it easier to steer and brake.
Your brakes, tyres and shock absorbers need to work together at maximum efficiency to ensure your safety on, and off, the road. If any part of this system fails to work properly, you will be putting yourself and others at risk. Worn shock absorbers are also a major contributor to tyre wear, so as well as safety and control you’ll also experience better value and longer life from your tyres.
